When is Black Friday 2019?
Black Friday falls on the Friday following the Thanksgiving holiday. This year the Thanksgiving holiday, the last Thursday in November, is on the 28th. Black Friday 2019, then, will fall on November 29th, 2019.
The sales event, however, will start much sooner. While a lot of retailers try to vie for your money, they have begun running Black Friday sales even earlier. Some as soon as November 1st, following the Halloween holiday.
Black Friday also extends through the weekend, to include Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. The officially recognized shopping season this year will be from Monday, November 25th through Monday, December 2nd, 2019.

Which Ecovacs Deebot is Best?
Most of the Ecovac Deebots are 3-in-1 models that sweep, vacuum, and mop. Each one comes with different features and abilities that may or may not be what you are looking for.
Below you will find a brief explanation of the various Ecovacs models you have to choose from to help you decide which one to shop for when the time comes.
Ecovacs Deebot M80
The M80 is a model that is easy to operate and does what it claims. It will sweep hard flooring, and it does vacuum low pile carpeting. You can also install the water reservoir and mopping pad to have your floors mopped and dried.
Don’t expect a deep clean in any aspect, though. The motor on the M80 produces about 1600pa of suction power, which will get a lot of the surface dirt from your carpets. It will clean hard flooring pretty well, except in corners. The mopping feature is akin to a Swiffer wet, just without the muscle behind it.
For an entry-level robot, it will maintain a clean floor between regular chore days, though, and the mop is a decent attempt to keep your hard flooring shiny. You can read our comparison review of the M80 versus the Roomba 690 here to get more details.
Ecovacs Debbot M88
The Deebot M88 is a small step up from the M80 version. You still have the same 5-stage cleaning process, but the cleaning is done a little better. As far as the carpet cleaning goes, the motor produces more suction (about 1800pa) and is now able to tackle low and medium-pile carpeting.
The moping pads are still the same, though, unfortunately. While it is almost impossible to have a 3-in-1 robot doe everything effectively, the Deebot M88 does try. You will notice streaks on hard flooring after a mopping session more often than not. A damp mop run afterward will take more time but will produce more of the results you are after.
The robot also comes with HEPA filtration to reduce in-home allergens as well as a better battery that will run for about an hour and a half. The collection bin is a little small, so be prepared to empty it after every cleaning session.
All in all, though, the M88 is a well-rounded machine for most smaller homes, apartments, and condos. For more information and details, check out our review of the Ecovacs M88.
Ecovacs Deebot Slim2
The Ecovacs Slim2 is a robot that is designed to get into more homes by being a low-cost alternative to the other models and manufacturers. Here is the catch, the Slim2 is a robot made only for hard flooring. It doesn’t have a brush roll, and it won’t clean carpeting near at all.
What it will do is get into corners, along edges and sweep and vacuum debris from hard flooring like there is no tomorrow. It will also mop the floor behind it as it goes. Vacuuming and mopping simultaneously to save you time.
As a result of the no carpet cleaning action, the motor only produces 600pa of suction. This is enough to lift debris from a hard flooring surface but won’t touch carpeting fibers at all. However, if you have hardwood flooring throughout and don’t mind picking up your rugs, the Slim2 will be a surprising addition to your cleaning regimen.
You can get all the details, and more information from our review article found here.
Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930
The Ozmo is a robot that does truly do it all. It will sweep and mop your hard flooring, of course. It will also mop afterward to keep the floors squeaky clean. And it has removable cartridges to add a brush roll for cleaning carpeting.
When you are sweeping and mopping, you remove the brush roll cartridge and install the suction cartridge. With Smart Navi technology, the Ozmo 930 also navigates your home with lasers and creates a map of the surroundings.
This allows the robot to recharge when the battery gets low and resume cleaning from where it left off after the battery is full again. You can view the map on the mobile app as well as create cleaning schedules and get status reports.
For the full details and to find out how well everything works (it does great, actually), you can read the full Deebot Ozmo 930 review here.
Ecovacs Deebot N79
The Ecovacs N79 is the only robot on our watch list that doesn’t mop. For cleaning hard flooring and carpet without a mop, the Deebot N79 is your option. It does have wireless communications, so you can use the mobile app for scheduling and controls.
It also boasts a HEPA filter to help reduce in-home allergens and up to 1000pa suction power. The filters are a little small, and the collection bin has a capacity of 0.3L, which needs constant emptying.
The added maintenance time is expected for entry-level robots, which is what the N79 is. Budget models usually don’t have a lot of added features, and with the mobile app, automatic recharging of the battery, and more control options included, the N79 comes out on top.
You can clean most floor types as well, including low and medium-pile carpeting. If you have throw rugs or rugs with fringe, you will need to pick them up or tuck the fringe under. Otherwise, homes up to about 1100 square feet will enjoy the benefit of maintained clean floors.

What are the Best Black Friday Deals?
The Deebot N79 is going to be the biggest mover when it comes to the sale prices. However, it is hard to overlook the Ozmo 930 options. Amazon will be the most likely place to offer the biggest deals, including Prime benefits with shipping and customer service.
The Ecovacs website will host a few specials, but being based in China, you may not get the savings you are looking for. We expect to see things like free shipping and small percentages off, but you will get your Deebots faster through Amazon.
If you are on the lookout for a good deal on a mopping model and don’t want to spend the prices demanded of the Ozmo, the certified refurbished M88 from Amazon is a steal at under $100.
Which Deal do we Recommend?
Currently, the best pricing goes to the Ozmo 930 from Best Buy. The new unit selling for under $400 is probably going to be the biggest discount on an Ecovacs model anywhere.
Don’t be surprised if this sells out fast. If you are one to miss this deal, the next best option will be the Amazon listing for the Ozmo 930. There will most likely be a coupon added for a larger discount like there was last year, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see this one end up as a Flash sale during the heart of the event.
